Time flies,Alai’s novel creation has lasted for 37 years.The magic power of time can turn the sea into a mulberry field,it also makes great changes in the style of the characters.Through in-depth study of the novel text,we can discover that in different historical periods,Alai’s standard of selecting the protagonist has changed three times: In the early stage of his creation,Alai preferred let ordinary people to be the protagonists in his novels.In the medium term,the image of Saint and fool were deeply loved by Alai,while the ordinary people were not his beloved at the same time.In the later stage,Alai continued his “employment” standard of the middle stage,the only change was the image of Saint and fool tends to asceticism,and they are more pure and perfect in "human design".The image of religious believers in Alai’s novels accounts for a small proportion,but they are the unique landscape throughout Alai’s novel creation.Their spiritual outlook changed again and again,and finally stabilized in Alai’s novels as extreme good or extreme evil.The most important feature of the characters in Alai’s early stage is "common",which is the result of the author’s careful excavation towards the depth of universal human nature,and carries the author’s efforts to explore the subtle human nature.In the world of literature and art,the commonness of characters is absolutely not equal to the mediocrity of art.As a matter of fact,the image of ordinary people according to their general human nature surpass the shackles of regional culture,and acquire precious universal value.The most important feature of Alai’s characters in the middle and later period is "special",they are basically pushed to a certain extreme by the author.The extremely good,the extremely evil,the extremely lofty and the extremely slippery are full of Alai’s novels in the middle and later period.But in the world of literature and art,the particularity of characters is not equal to the uniqueness of aesthetic value.Most of the characters in Alai’s middle and later works are taken away from the complexity of human nature,and they have their own obvious artistic shortcomings.In the extreme state、behind the striking art short board,the character were reduced to the reference of several adjectives.Their aesthetic value has declined sharply.In general,the characterization in Alai’s novels has experienced the transformation from ordinary to special,from incomplete to perfect.And in terms of aesthetic value,it has experienced the transformation from round to flat,from universalization to idealization and demonization.The reasons for the transformation are complex and diverse,including both subjective and objective aspects.Anyway the writer is the existence of subjective initiative,this article mainly discusses the change from three aspects: the change of writer’s writing goal,the change of his cognition of Tibet,and the change of his pursuit of "truth". |
