| As one of the important unearthed cultural relics of Jiangxi,The jewelry pattern of Princess Yixuan of the Ming Dynasty(1538-1556 A.D.)epitomized the mainstream of its culture with a fundamental representative significance of that period.The patterns full of characteristics of the times,the jewelry craftsmanship was exquisite,and the style was remarkable.Thus,it boasted unique design aesthetics and could be deemed as the historical and cultural heritage of the Ming Dynasty with extremely high artistic and cultural value.Its referential value could even inspire modern design.Taking the jewelry pattern of Princess Yixuan as the research object,the author completes the research and design practice of it by employing literature analysis and summarizing method.Firstly,a basic overview of the jewelry patterns of the Ming Dynasty is presented.Specifically,it contains the origin of the jewelry,the development of the jewelry patterns in that time,and the analysis of the factors affecting its formation.Secondly,an in-depth analysis of the aesthetic characteristics of the jewelry patterns is conducted from the perspectives of classification of its decorative pattern and modeling form.Thirdly,the author explores and analyzes:1)the subject and modeling of patterns;2)color adjustment of the pattern elements;and 3)matching of the pattern and font.Then,the positioning of the jewelry pattern is discussed,and it focuses on a creative cultural product and the basic design principle after the positioning is determined.Moreover,a comparison and analysis of the cases of traditional patterns in cultural and creative design are finished.In sum,the design practice of jewelry patterns,aiming to realize the inheritance of the jewelry culture of the Ming Dynasty,is completed by not only highlighting the concept of auspicious meaning conveyed in the jewelry patterns of Princess Yixuan of the Ming Dynasty but also seeking the balance of the traditional elements and modern fashion style required by the modern design. |
