Study On Shi Ji Tan Yuan Written By Cui Shi

For more than a hundred years,academic circles have had different comments on “Shi ji tan yuan”writed by Cui Shi who was an economist and historian at the end of the Qing dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China.“Shi ji tan yuan” is a historical work under the guidance of the thought of Confucian classics.The book deduces the academic standpoint of Records of the Historian from the perspective of the study of Confucian classics in the current text.It holds that Records of the Historian was originally based on the study of Confucian classics in the current text,because the ancient scholars represented by Liu Xin made it unrecognizable.Based on Cui Shi’s life experience,a systematic study from the aspects of thought,content,and form shows that the achievements of "Historical Records Origin" are especially outstanding in the three aspects of examination time,examination characters,and examination sentences.The lower limit of records,lineage,reign time of monarch,time of historical events,and year of cadre and branch,the authenticity,name,date of birth and death,seal of country,and mutual relations of historical characters,and the contradictions,redundancy,absence,confusion,misuse,and disambiguation of examination sentences in the "Historical Records" can spare no effort in the joint area,making simple and complicated,and promoting truth and eliminating falsehood.Although there are some inaccuracies in textual research,it can still provide us with great help in studying Records of the Historian as a whole.It has made specific contributions to the study of Records of the Historian,the development of the study of Records of the Historian,and the enrichment of the history of historiography.It has also objectively promoted the rise of the thought of doubting the ancient in modern times.
