Research On Fashionable And Innovative Design Of Traditional Patterns

Due to the author’s interest in Indonesian traditional patterns,on this basis,the author takes Indonesian traditional patterns as the research theme and chooses how to preserve,innovate and develop Indonesian traditional patterns as the research theme in this modern era.Indonesian traditional patterns are ancient relics of Indonesian ancestors.Indonesian traditional patterns have undergone various changes since their emergence,especially in the textile field.With the advent of globalization and modernization,the functions of Indonesian traditional textiles have also changed.The view of modern Indonesian citizens believes that Indonesia’s traditional pattern is no longer needed because it is considered outdated.Traditional Indonesian patterns are now only used and worn when there is a formal event.Indonesian traditional patterns have experienced decades of ups and downs in their historical development.At present,the preservation of traditional patterns is in a crisis period.In this case,traditional patterns should be able to survive in a society that is living in a modern and global era.In-depth study of the importance of traditional Indonesian patterns should be a priority for all Indonesians,because traditional Indonesian patterns are works of art and are Indonesia’ s national cultural heritage.Therefore,as Indonesians,authors are encouraged to focus on the study of traditional Indonesian patterns and their preservation and development.As an Indonesian student studying in China through a scholarship,the author hopes to contribute by providing information and knowledge about the traditional patterns of Indonesia and its preservation and development among modern young Indonesians.In addition,Indonesian traditional patterns are also one of the main contents of Indonesian cultural education.The author believes that it is necessary to conduct this research,and hopes to contribute to cultural education in the future.This research conducted a field survey by investigating the lifestyle and perspectives of the young generation in Indonesia and their understanding of the state of cultural heritage from traditional Indonesian patterns.Based on the fieldwork to be carried out,the research is looking for a new strategy and exploring how to innovate,modify and develop Indonesian traditional patterns in this era,especially among the younger generation of Indonesia,so that the traditional patterns can be retained.Indonesian traditional patterns are widely used in products,interiors,clothing and other fields.Applying traditional Indonesian patterns to the design is a richness for the design itself.At the same time,it allows users to have a deeper understanding of the meaning and philosophy of the patterns shown.In addition,the development of design is also an effort to adapt traditional patterns to the psychological needs and lifestyle of consumers in this era of rapid economic growth.In the field of applied arts,if fine arts pay more attention to their aesthetics,then applied arts pay attention to their aesthetics and their usefulness.Moreover,there is a modern applied art,which uses technology to accelerate the production process.Attempts to develop modern applied art with traditional Indonesian patterns will have an impact on meeting consumer needs and interests,as well as being able to promote and present innovative works of art.Therefore,the author believes that this study has certain significance.The author hopes that through this research,the author can successfully complete the research on the modern development of traditional Indonesian patterns.In addition,the author hopes to complete a set of experimental and contemporary works of art on the basis of field investigation.
