Study On The Biography Of Su Shi

Su Shi devoted himself to prose all his life,and his works were very rich.He made great artistic achievements in the field of prose creation,which also reflected the characteristics of prose in the Northern Song Dynasty.Su Shi’s biography,as an important part of his prose,has not received enough attention,so it should be further studied.Through close reading and comparison,it is found that the creation of Su Shi’s biography has its own innovation on the basis of learning from predecessors.Su Shi’s biographical creation has the shadow of biographical literature in the ancient books of the pre Qin Dynasty from the characteristics of simple narration,emphasis on historical facts,realistic portraits of people and events,and mythological color.Su Shi highly praised the standard of biography and the principle of material selection of historical biography literature such as historical records and Han shu.In addition,the literary and political merits of Han and Liu’s biography were preserved by Su Shi.On this basis,with his extraordinary talent and rich knowledge,expanded the length of the biographical genre of "Xingzhuang" and expanded the functional scope of the genre of "Ji",laying the foundation for the maturity of the epitaph writing paradigm.At the same time,he creatively put forward the creation theory of "vivid" and "self is a family",and put it into practice in his biography writing.With his own efforts,Su Shi improved the position of biography in literature,and his biography also enriched the treasure house of biography.At the same time,Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism are also reflected in his biographies.The integration of Confucianism,Taoism,Buddhism and optimism in his ideological system provides power for Su Shi to pursue the ideal of peace and stability,to get rid of the hardship brought by his political frustration,and to correctly treat the separation of life and death and to pursue the true meaning of life Guidance was provided.In addition,Su Shi wrote with his talent,cultivated his writing with integrity,did not pursue gorgeous rhetoric,and the expression of theme and emotion came naturally.At the same time,he has a strong reasoning ability,and put his political ideal of peace and stability into his writing,so that his biographical writing has a unique aesthetic implication.
