| Developed from the powerful landlords in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the aristocratic families in Wei and Jin Dynasties reached its peak by virtue of its strong economic strength and political and social status of the monopoly ruling regime in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and declined gradually in the Southern Dynasty. As a special class in the ruling group with all kinds of political and economic privileges in the Wei,Jin,the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the elite class was the backbone of the society in this period. It was a special existence that stood firm after several dynasties.Mr.Liang Qichao once mentioned in Chinese society for thousands of years, only during the Six Dynasties of China, there was quite a noble class. The aristocratic class and the imperial power were closely linked together, and they formed a dense political monopoly alliance depending on each other, which controlled the political privilege, economic lifeline, spiritual and cultural discourse right of this period for generations. The period of Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties was the development period of the feudal society in ancient China, the frequent wars and the rich material wealth accumulated by the development of manor economy in the Wei,Jin and Southern Dynasties respectively met the conditions of the emergence of these two leisure classes, which made it possible for the elite groups in this period to develop into "leisure classes".The ruling clique strongly controlled the central and local governments, and the feudal economy grew rapidly.A special ruling class, the elite class, was formed within the landlord class.A comprehensive study of this class finds that it is similar to the "leisure class" in the development period of western capitalism as testified by Veblen. The literati class that appeared in the wei,jin and south dynasty fully possessed the conditions for the emergence of the "leisure class",and showed the characteristics of the leisure class to the greatest extent. This led to the emergence and obstinacy of the "leisure class" in the Wei and Jin dynasties of Chinese feudal society. The elite class showed autocracy and corruption in the ruling politics. In social life, extravagance and waste have gradually become an obstacle to social progress. At the same time,in the aspect of spiritual and cultural life, the elite class has made amazing contributions, which are talked about by later generations.Starting from the proposition of "leisure class",this paper tries to study the elite class to the greatest extent. |
