Antonín Leopold Dvorák is a great Czech folk musician,whose compositions cover a wide range of areas and are rich in genres,thus attributed to his extraordinary achievements.In1900,he composed the opera Water Nymph.After performed in many opera houses,it became quite popular among audience,which has brought a precious value of circulation.The most classic aria Ode to the Moon,in which the nymphs croon to the moon,expresses their longing for love.Since the author was deeply attracted by the beautiful melody and rich and delicate emotion of the aria Ode to the Moon,the author learned to sing this song for many years.The purpose of this thesis is to integrate the theoretical knowledge and singing skills of Ode to the Moon,so as to make my singing more professional and make full preparation for the graduation concert.At the same time,after consulting a large number of literature and related works,the author uses professional research methods to write this thesis,which is also a summary and improvement of the knowledge learned in the last three years of my graduate life.Only through a complete analysis of a song can a singer deepen his understanding of it and constantly enrich our musical knowledge base.After a comprehensive understanding of the creation background and musical characteristics of Ode to the Moon,and then a careful analysis of the musical style and singing skills of the work,the methods of literature research,investigation and comparative analysis are adopted by the author.This thesis is mainly divided into three parts.The first chapter introduces the composer’s life and the historical background of his opera Narcissus.In the second chapter,the author elaborates on the musical style of the aria Ode to the Moon in detail,and analyzes the harmony form.In the third chapter,the singing skills of the aria Ode to the Moon is analyzed,which mainly includes the language characteristics,the control of breath,the coordination of vocals and accompaniment,the mastery of the rhythm and strength of the song,and the emotional expression of the song.As a vocal learner,respect for the composer’s creation is the premise of the second creation,and the theoretical cognition and singing analysis of the song is essential.Only by constantly enriching theoretical knowledge and combining it with practices can a singer improves his overall artistic accomplishment. |
