| False memory is an important part of human memory,which plays an important role in psychological counseling and witness testimony.Emotion is an important factor affecting false memory.In previous studies,the influence of emotion on false memory of words is mainly manifested as positive emotion increases false memory,while negative words increase false memory.However,the effect of emotion on false memory of events is inconsistent.Therefore,this study focuses on the influence of emotion on false memory of events.Misinformation is a common influencing factor in event memory.Misinformation Interference Paradigm is a classic paradigm in the study of event false memory.To explore the role of emotion in this paradigm,we can not only observe the effect of emotion on false memory,but also explore the joint effect of emotion and misleading on false memory.The influence of emotion on false memory is mainly manifested in two aspects:one is the influence of material emotional property on false memory;the other is the influence of subject’s emotional state on false memory.Among them,the subject’s emotional state can be at least divided into the encoding stage and the extraction stage.Therefore,under the unified paradigm of information misinformation interference,this study will explore the effects of the emotional nature of the event,the emotional state at the encoding stage and the emotional state at the extraction stage on false memory.In the first study,we designed a mixed design of 3(the emotion of event videos:positive,neutral and negative)× 2(information type: control information,misleading information).participants were asked to remember positive,neutral or negative videos under neutral emotions.The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of videos emotional nature on false memory.In the second study,participants were given a mixed design of 3(the emotion in the memory encoding stage: positive,neutral and negative)× 2(information type: control information,misleading information).The participants were given positive,neutral or negative emotions before the video of neutral events was presented.The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of participants’ study emotional state on false memory.In the third study,we designed a mixed design of 3(the emotion in memory retrieval stage: positive,neutral and negative)× 2(information type: control information,misleading information).the participants were given positive,neutral or negative emotions before the recognition test.The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of participants’ test emotional state on false memory.The results of the three studies are as follows:First,the misdirection effect of event false memory is significant,that is,the participants’ memory error rate of control information is significantly higher than that of misleading information.Second,the emotional nature of the target event has no significant effect on the false memory of the event.There was no significant difference in the false memory rate of positive,medium and negative emotional videos.In the first study,it was found that the emotional nature of the event had no significant influence on the memory error rate,but had a significant influence on the degree of memory confidence.Information type has a significant effect on memory error rate,but has no significant effect on memory confidence.In the second study,it was found that the emotional state in the encoding stage had a significant impact on the error rate of event memory,and also had a significant impact on the degree of memory confidence.Information type has a significant effect on memory error rate and memory confidence.The third study found that the emotional state in the extraction stage had no significant influence on the error rate of event memory,and had no significant influence on the degree of memory confidence.The type of information has a significant influence on the memory error rate and memory confidence.Moreover,emotional state and information type in the extraction stage have significant interaction effects on memory error rate.These results indicate that the false memory of events has a strong misleading effect,and the influence of emotion on the misleading effect is extremely weak.Emotional impact on the events of the false memory is complex and changeable.Event emotional nature had no significant effect on memory error rate,but event emotional nature has a significant influence on memory confidence.Subject coding phase’s emotional state can significantly affect memory error rates also significantly affect memory confidence.Subject extracting phase’s emotional state has no significant impact on memory error rate and memory confidence.Under the misdirection of information,the memory confidence and memory error rate were not consistent,and the degree of subjective memory confidence could not accurately predict the memory error rate. |
