Regional culture is not only an indispensable part of Chinese culture,but also an important entry point for international students to understand China.Chongqing is the only municipality directly under the Central Government in the west of China,with very rich regional cultural resources.Taking Chongqing as an example,this paper discusses the significance of combining regional culture with teaching Chinese as a foreign language,analyzes the resource advantages of Chongqing regional culture,explores the concrete teaching content and application way of integrating Chongqing regional culture into teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and gives the concrete teaching design so as to provide some suggestions for the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language under the regional cultural background of Chongqing.This paper consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction of this article,the research purpose and significance,the importance of regional culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and the integration of regional culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At the same time,I state the innovation and feasibility of this article.The second part is the definition of regional culture,the relationship between regional culture and Chinese culture,the relationship between regional culture and Chinese culture teaching as a foreign language,and analyzes the significance of Chongqing regional culture integrating into Chinese culture teaching as a foreign language from many angles: in line with the "The Belt and Road" development initiative,it is helpful to improve the cross-cultural adaptability of foreign students to Chongqing,enrich the teaching content,stimulate students’ interest in learning,help Chongqing culture go out,and expand international popularity.The third part is the main body of the thesis.First of all,a questionnaire was conducted on 40 international students from the International College of Chinese Language & Culture of Chongqing Normal University about their feelings of Chongqing regional culture and their willingness to learn,so as to understand their feelings and liking degree of Chongqing regional culture.Then,this paper analyzes the rich regional cultural resources of Chongqing,selects the dialect culture,food culture,tourism culture and anti-Japanese war culture that are highly featured in Chongqing,which are favored by overseas students and are closely related to their lives as the research objects,and elaborates the application content of Chongqing regional culture in the teaching of Chinese culture as a foreign language.Based on this,combining with literature analysis and aiming at the current situation of Chongqing regional culture integrating into TCFL,this paper gives some advice opening regional culture courses,training teachers suitable for regional culture courses,compiling Chongqing regional culture textbooks,making full use of Chongqing regional culture resources,and carrying out experiential teaching.According to the idea of Chongqing special culture teaching,gives a specific teaching design scheme with the hot pot culture in Chongqing food culture that foreign students are most interested in.The fourth part,based on this,combining with literature analysis and aiming at the current situation of Chongqing regional culture integrating into TCFL,this paper gives some advice opening regional culture courses,training teachers suitable for regional culture courses,compiling Chongqing regional culture textbooks,making full use of Chongqing regional culture resources,and carrying out experiential teaching.
