Research On The Evolution Of Female Images In French Oil Painting Art From 17th To 19th Century

During the 17th-19 th century,France experienced frequent regime change and ideological trend impact,and oil painting gradually became the main artistic creation form and flourished.The female artistic image in oil paintings has changed a lot with the change of political power,gender concept and aesthetic requirements.women artistic image shows a completely different face from before,which not only shows the artistic concept that has been circulating for three centuries,but also reflects the change of gender concept in different social environments.The first chapter of this paper traces the female artistic image from the primitive period to the 16 th century French Renaissance.The second chapter classifies the oil paintings containing female artistic images in the 17th-19 th century in France from representative works,and divides them into four categories by combining images and interpretations,namely,female artistic images of aristocratic class,religious control,civilian class and emerging middle class.The third chapter discusses and analyzes the reasons for the evolution of women artistic images in the 17th-19 th century from three aspects: the artist’s creative thought,the presentation of artistic works and the change of viewers’ mentality.The fourth chapter analyzes the positive influence of the evolution and development of women artistic image from two aspects: pursuing equality and freedom for the viewer and women.The research on the evolution of French women artistic images in the 17th-19 th century is conducive to a clearer grasp of the process of women artistic images breaking away from shackles and moving towards freedom in the past three centuries,and has certain reference significance for women pursuit of freedom and the development of women art history.
