"Literati Calligraphy" has been produced and developed from the late Han,Wei and Jin Dynasties to the Republic of China,and has produced a lot of calligraphers,who promoted the calligraphy art from the pure technical level to the cultural level.The calligraphy art in the period of the Republic of China inherited the history of tablet learning since the Qing Dynasty and presented a diversified situation.As the leader of many integrated inscriptions,Xie Wuji has formed a naive and simple book style,and has its distinctive and unique style and personality among the calligraphers in the Republic of China.Mr.Xie Wuji mainly lived in the turbulent Republic of China.He was one of the literati groups who accepted western advanced ideas and had the sense of country on the foundation of profound traditional culture.He was committed to academic research and did not intend to be famous for calligraphy,but later generations enjoyed the name because of calligraphy art.I have to say that the background of traditional literati laid a foundation for his achievements in calligraphy art.The author discusses Mr.Xie Wuji’s calligraphy art,trying to distinguish and analyze "literati calligraphy" and "literati calligraphy",analyzes Xie Wuji’s calligraphy art,and discusses its influence on his technique practice and calligraphy philosophy.This paper is divided into three parts.The first chapter is literati calligraphy and its generation and development,which mainly includes the origin and concept of literati,the development,and the survival of the Republic of China,the second part discusses the influence of Xie calligraphy art on the present and the author.
