| Henri Matisse,as one of the important artists who pushed for the revolutionary development of artistic modeling in the early twentieth century,had a strong interest in and insight into Eastern art,and his painting style was deeply influenced by Eastern art.Matisse borrowed many different forms from Eastern art,such as the flat,decorative sense of form in folk art,and even Matisse’s modeling has a certain degree of similarity with the imagery modeling in traditional Chinese art,but Matisse did not simply copy Eastern art,but creatively absorbed it and explored a new painting language.In Matisse’s work,you will find that it not only meets the aesthetic requirements of Western modernism,but also in some aspects is closely related to the aesthetics of Eastern art.This paper explores the oriental implications in Matisse’s paintings by analyzing his works and by comparing the aesthetic concepts in oriental art,as well as comparing the similarities and differences between Matisse and oriental art.The first chapter analyzes how Matisse’s style has transformed through his biography.In the second chapter,the characteristics and formal language of Matisse’s paintings are analyzed and summarized in relation to his works.The third chapter explores the similarities and differences between Matisse and Oriental art.Chapter four explores the inspiration of Matisse’s paintings to my creation and sketching.In the process of my creation,Matisse’s concept and form of painting have deeply influenced me,especially his persistence in sketching and his pursuit of purity in painting.Matisse’s painting makes me pursue my inner feelings more,and in my creation,I pay more attention to the vividness of the picture,preferring to face things intuitively for sketching and avoiding conceptual colors and compositions.Matisse’s art had a great influence on the art of his time and later generations,and his painting style and aesthetic concept have high artistic value and practical significance. |
