| In many countries,Japan’s monster culture has a long history.After more than 1000 years of development,a complete system has been formed,and many changes have taken place in the image of the monster.Most of the classic monster images we see now come from the book "drawing a hundred ghosts walking at night" made by Niaoshan Shiyan during the Edo period.During the Edo period,with the rapid development of Commerce and handicraft industry,people’s demand for spiritual culture was increasing.The popular literary works such as ukiyoe began to depict these mysterious and supernatural monsters.One of the representatives is the painting of ghosts at night.It was completed in the 5th year of anyong(1781).It is divided into three parts: "Yin","Yang" and "wind".In the same series,there are three collections of paintings of "Jinxihuatutongbaigui","Jinxibaiguishiyi" and "Baiqiturandai".It contains 207 kinds of monsters,laying the foundation for the composition of contemporary Japanese monsters.Today,the monster culture in Japan has gradually developed and matured,becoming one of the cultural symbols of Japan.Monster culture has also entered the Japanese university classroom,more and more people pay attention to it,and become a popular topic.This paper takes the monsters in "drawing a hundred ghosts walking at night" as the research object,analyzes their internal image and visual performance,and tries to excavate the national culture and practical significance behind them.This paper analyzes and summarizes the painting style,picture composition and line performance of bird mountain stone swallow.At the same time,combined with the geographical environment,scientific and Technological Development and social culture of Japan at that time,it reveals the reasons behind the birth,behavior and character of monsters.Through the study of "drawing a hundred ghosts walking at night",this paper explores the new monster images that may appear in the cultural context of contemporary society.I hope this paper can make a little contribution to the research and development of China’s monster culture. |
