Illustration is an organic part of the teaching material.Illustration is not only an auxiliary material for teachers’ teaching,but also an effective link to stimulate students’ interest in learning and improve students’ learning effect.This paper takes the textbook of spoken Chinese as a foreign language Short-Term Spoken Chinese Threshold as the research object,through the classification statistics of the number,distribution,forms and functional types of illustrations in the textbook,analyzes the configuration of illustrations in the textbook.By using the method of questionnaire,the teachers and students who use this set of teaching materials are investigated to understand their use of this set of teaching materials.Compared with other TCFL textbooks,this paper summarizes some common problems of illustrations in textbooks such as Short-Term Spoken Chinese Threshold,including the problems in the number,color,distribution,picture quality and other forms of illustrations,as well as the problems in the design of content,such as the relevance,ideographic,extension and timeliness of illustrations.In view of the problems found,this paper refers to the previous design principles of illustrations in teaching materials,and puts forward some suggestions for the improvement of the compilation of illustrations to Short-Term Spoken Chinese Threshold: in terms of form design,the number of illustrations should be appropriate,the information should be accurate,the distribution should be reasonable,the expression should be scientific,and the picture quality should be improved.In the aspect of content design,we should improve the relevance of graphics and text,enhance the intuitiveness of pictures,clarify the functional direction of illustrations,and pay attention to the extensibility,practicality and timeliness of illustrations.This paper holds that teachers should pay attention to the use of illustrations in teaching materials,provide guidance for students to learn illustrations,and make flexible use of illustrations.It is hoped that this study can provide some improvement basis for the compilation of illustrations in TCFL textbooks. |
