On Chinese Knife Culture In Qing Dynasty From The Perspective Of Historical Evolution

In Qing Dynasty,from the royal family down to the village warriors,knife was the main weapon for wearing and fighting.Knife played an important role in both the unification of the Later Jin Dynasty and the war of the Qing army entering the customs.In Kang Xi’s war against tsarist Russia and the war against foreign aggression and national division which created perfect martial arts,knife played even more powerful.The Qing army successfully fought innumerable battles,and knife played an important role in the Qing Dynasty’s military equipment.In particular,the 160 years in the middle and early Qing Dynasty was the golden age of Chinese knife,and its development reached its peak in the Qianlong period,reaching the highest in the Chinese history in terms of quantity,variety,function,manufacturing technology,historical value,artistic value and many other aspects.This thesis uses various research methods,such as literature analysis,field investigation,logical analysis,expert interview,and double evidence method,to distinguish and analyze the concept and shape of the ancient Chinese knives,explore the structure and technology of the ancient Chinese knives,and conclude that the knives reflect the different spiritual and cultural characteristics of people of different ethnic groups.In the process of Chinese knife inheriting,its rich connotation has created the driving force of knife culture everlasting.Knife and sword have much in common in many aspects,but due to their different attributes,the cultural meanings given to them are relatively rare,and the related studies and works on the image of knife are also quite limited.On the basis of the study,this thesis from the Angle of historical evolution of the generation and development of Chinese knife systematically comb,think Chinese knife dao is roughly experienced the rise of the period when the spring and autumn period and the warring states period,development period of Han,Sui and Tang dynasties at the time of the peak period,mature period and the Ming dynasty gradually declined,until the last glory of Qing dynasty ushered in the steel sword and decline.Specifically,the sources of knife in the Qing Dynasty mainly include Manchurian Nuzhen knife,former Dynasty knife,self-made knife in the Qing Dynasty,Tibetan Mongolian knife and imported knife from foreign countries.According to the situation of manufacture and equipment,Qing knife can be divided into four categories: royal knife,official knife,military knife and folk knife.Qing Dynasty is undoubtedly the peak of the development of Chinese knife,and reached the golden stage in the reign of Qianlong.After sorting out relevant documents and materials,it is concluded that Qing knife has three main characteristics: First,Qing knife reached the highest level in the history in terms of quantity,variety,grade and function;Secondly,the manufacturing technology of knife in the Qing Dynasty has reached perfection.Thirdly,the Qing Dynasty knife fully embodies the extensive and profound art of ancient weapons in China.At the same time,it also contains historical values such as military value,humanistic value,spiritual value,artistic value and aesthetic value.Chinese knife ware culture,especially the Qing Dynasty knife ware culture,is not only the continuation and inheritance of Chinese traditional culture,but also carries the heroic spirit of Chinese people through the ages.
