On The Influence Of Chaozhou String Poetry On The Style Of Chaozhou Zheng Music

Guzheng has an unshakable position in national music after more than 2,000 years of development.Guzheng music art has been deeply influenced by factors such as landform,humanities environment,history and culture,and has also been infiltrated with local folk customs,dialect tone,and folk music.And eventually it becomes a zither school with a strong regional style.In the Southern Guzheng school,the Chaozhou Zheng school is more prominent and has far-reaching influence whose melody is delicate and elegant,beautiful and gentle,forming a unique musical charm and aesthetic implication and a well spread at home and abroad.As a representative of the Southern Zheng art,Chaozhou Zheng music was born out of Chaozhou string poetry,and generally inherited the fresh,delicate and elegant style of Chaozhou folk music.As one of the main forms of Chaozhou string poetry and Chaozhou folk music,Chaozhou string poetry is a typical representative of Chaozhou music and Chaozhou string poetry in terms of its performance form,musical style,melody characteristics,the music structure,notation,and etc.All of them reflect the representative characteristics of Chaozhou music and Chaozhou string poetry.This article takes Chaozhou Zheng music as a point cut to explore the historical relationship between Chaozhou string music and Chaozhou Zheng music.It is analyzed that both of them come from Chaozhou string poetry and have developed on the basis of Chaozhou string poetry.Therefore,the two not only have the same root homology in the track,but also have many similarities in the way of notation,tone,plate structure,and playing techniques.In terms of notation,Chaozhou Zheng music and Chaozhou string music core characteristics are the same.Both of them use Chaozhou Ersi spectrum,and later also use the work scale spectrum;In terms of tone,the main tone is “light 36”,“weight36”,“light triple six”,and “living five”;The plate structure follows the characteristics of “head board-examination and shooting-three boards”;The performance styles are fresh,delicate,soft and elegant.The artistic style of Chaozhou Zheng music could be better grasped via the comparative analysis of the similarities between the characteristics of Chaozhou Zheng music and Chaozhou string poetry style,which provides a new idea for scholars who learn to play Chaozhou Zheng music.When playing Chaozhou Zheng music,they can learn from the characteristics of Chaozhou string poetry,so as to better understand the melody characteristics of Chaozhou Zheng music and the human connotation embodied.
