Study On The Verbs Of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)

Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)was published on November 17,2018,which was an international academic symposium held to commemorate the 10 th anniversary of the establishment of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips collection in Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Text,Tsinghua University.Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)bamboo slips,unearthed in the middle and late Warring States Period,whose original significance not only reflect the language appearance of that time objectively,but also provide abundant corpus for the study of ancient Chinese,which is of great value for the study of language.Although the academic community has received a lot of research on verbs in excavated literature,the research on Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)is relatively weak.This is because the current research focuses on the interpretation and textual research of words and sentences and ideological and cultural systems,but few achievements have been made on vocabulary as the research object.Since Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)is still a relatively short unearthed material,no obvious results have been obtained for systematically sorting out and studying all the verbs,which is the original intention of this thesis to choose Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)verbs as the research topic of this thesis.Based on Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)edited by Li Xueqin,who is from Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Text,Tsinghua University edition,as the research object,this thesis makes a comprehensive econometric analysis and discussion of the verbs,aiming to provide some references for the study of the lexical system of pre-Qin Chinese by investigating the verbs in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8).The paper mainly consists of five parts.The introduction mainly discusses the Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)and unearthed documents,the general situation of the verb research in the historical documents of the Warring States period,the meaning of the topic and the research methods,and also puts forward the verb classification standard of this article.Chapter 1 is about the verb classification of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8).Firstly,verbs are divided into three categories: ordinary verbs,special verbs and auxiliary verbs.Then,according to the principle of the combination of grammar and semantics,the common verbs are divided into body action verbs,social behavior verbs,natural change verbs and general verbs according to their meanings.Secondly,the body action verbs are divided into two categories which are body action verbs and perceptual verbs,of which the body action verbs are divided into two sub-categories: speech verbs and action walking verbs,while the perceptual verbs are divided into three sub-categories:audio-visual sensation verbs,psychological emotion verbs and thinking cognition verbs.Social behavior verbs are divided into eight sub-categories and so on such as: sacrificial behavior verbs,political and educational behavior verbs,interpersonal communication activity behavior verbs,war and combat behavior verbs,commercial credit financing behavior verbs,life and entertainment behavior verbs,fishing,hunting,farming,production and construction behavior verbs,transportation and travel behavior verbs.Finally,analyze the meaning of verb,the original meaning of monophonic verb and its extension mode.Chapter 2 is about the collective interpretation of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)verbs,including monophonic verbs and polyphonic verbs.It mainly explains the most discussed verbs in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8),and finally discusses them with notes.Chapter 3 is about the new words and meanings of TBS8 verbs.It compares the words and definitions of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)verbs with those of The Great Chinese Dictionary.Find out the verbs in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)that do not appear in The Great Chinese Dictionary,but have new meanings or can advance the documentary time.The conclusion summarizes the classification and statistical data of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)verbs,and summarizes the characteristics of Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(8)verbs.
