Liu Xie used the rhetoric of "exaggerating" extensively in the writing of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons." Literary Mind Carving a Dragon: Exaggeration" is the first chapter that systematically discusses "Exaggeration" in the history of literature."Exaggeration" has not been paid much attention to in the academic study of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons.The understanding of the aesthetic thought of "Exaggeration " is not comprehensive and systematic.This paper aims to summarize and refine the previous research results on the basis of the aesthetic perspective of " The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons " rhetoric "exaggeration" and study "Exaggeration ",it makes up for the "exaggeration" in the field of aesthetic research vacancy.This paper mainly has an introduction and three chapters.It analyzes and discusses respectively the aesthetic thought of rhetoric of " Exaggeration ".The introduction explains the research background and summarizes the research status of " Exaggeration ",as well as the research significance and methods of this paper.The first chapter starts with "Exaggeration " itself,and starts from the "hidden thinking" of primitive civilization to explore and analyze the reason and origin of its name.It deeply excavates the historical process of " Exaggeration " in the beginning of Xia,Shang and Zhou,the development of pre-Qin and Han Dynasties,and the transformation of Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.On this basis,it probes into the aesthetic connotation of " Exaggeration ".The second chapter explores the aesthetic connotation of rhetoric of " Exaggeration ",which is one of the emblematic points of this paper.The application characteristics of the whole "exaggerations" in liu xie’s The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons are analyzed: nature describes "shape",humanity describes "sound",and things describe "conciseness".It is helpful to dig into the logic and theoretical support of Liu Xie’s creation of " Exaggeration ".The rhetorical model of " Exaggeration " is embodied in the argumentation model of "nature and humanity".This model from nature to humanity is the development of exaggerations and the theoretical basis of Liu Xie’s understanding of "Exaggeration " rhetoric.The internal mode of "Tao He Qi" is to place " Exaggeration " in the law of development and change of all things in the universe.Theory and practice are deeply analyzed by the internal logic.From the perspective of literary creation,the transmission system of "sign and meaning" is analyzed to exaggerate the role of rhetoric in the process from text to reader.The aesthetic connotation of exaggerations is confirmed and exaggerations are repositioned from the aesthetic point of view.The three dimensions of the relationship between emotion and reason,the relationship between "article" and "rhetoric",and the relationship between "language" and "atmosphere" are deeply analyzed in the aesthetic category of harmony,nature and magnificence embodied in rhetoric.In the article,Liu Xie’s esthetics thought is interacted with the principles,emotions,spirit and things.From the aesthetic point of view,it reflects the artistic principle of "integrity and decoration" and the highest ideal of "strategy".The third chapter is about the aesthetic features of "exaggerating" rhetoric in Liu Xie’s " The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons ",which is the main point of this paper.It analyzes the aesthetic form of exaggerations through the description of "exaggerations".The exaggeration of "language and rhetoric" is a transformation of things.The exaggeration of "emotion" achieves the promotion of emotion." Exaggeration " rhetoric in the aesthetic theory of the existence of "full" and "blank" characteristics."Enrichment" is the manifestation of the inner beauty of the article and the aesthetic appreciation of real life.The aesthetic subject obtains the aesthetic experience foundation."Blank" is the aesthetic subject’s entry into the exaggerated text world.It establishes an aesthetic world through association and imagination to achieve self-transcendence.This paper focuses on the aesthetic theory to interpret the " Exaggeration " in " The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons ".It makes a systematic analysis of aesthetics theory by referring to the existing literature of " Exaggeration ",which analyzes the aesthetic characteristics and artistic influence of rhetoric of "exaggeration".The whole aesthetic research idea shows the aesthetic value of " Exaggeration ".
