Gadamer proposed a philosophical hermeneutics with language as its ontology, and his thoughts contributed to the linguistic turn of philosophy in the 20 th century. In his reflection on the traditional western language view,Gadamer gradually took the direction of anti-instrumentalism,absorbing the logic of question and answer in the Socratic "dialectics of dialogue",and at the same time in the "poetic language" of Heidegger’s existentialism.Inspired by,put forward the ontologizing language thought centered on language and taking world experience as the overall perspective.Since then, the role of language in hermeneutics has changed into noumenon, rather than a tool for interpreting meaning and a shell for conveying ideas.Language has also clarified its own universal, speculative, and dialectical characteristics, and language has become ontologized in the process,it also completes its comprehensive regulations on hermeneutics experience, objects and processes. The ontologizing of Gadamer’s language is actually a dynamic process, and the ontology mechanism that is built from this, centered on language, depends on the interrelation and interaction between its various elements. Therefore, the ontologized mechanism takes the relationship between language and various elements as the research theme. The ontologizing of Gadamer’s language is mainly manifested in the following aspects: First, the mechanism of language’s appearance of history, which involves language concretization of history.Gadamer believes that the time distance filled with language is the best way to avoid wrong foresight, and the effect of historical awareness is a supplement to reasonable foresight to obtain its concrete expression through language, and these two methods and principles are based on language. Both serve as the basic premise of hermeneutics for the study of circulated objects. The specific manifestation of history is circulated objects.Circulated objects can only be understood as language, and they can open their own horizons by being "talked",which implies a kind of the question-and-answer logic with language as the medium;the second is the reconstruction mechanism of language to understanding, which is manifested in the dominant role of language in understanding phenomena.Gadamer regards language as a prerequisite for the possibility of understanding, deeply analyzes the dialogue nature of understanding, and thoroughly applies question-and-answer logic to the entire process of understanding. He believes that understanding, interpretation, and fusion of horizons can all be completed through dialogue. The process of understanding is reshaped.Language runs through the starting point, process, and destination of understanding.“The process of understanding is the process of language”,proposing that “the existence that can be understood is language”;the third is the linking mechanism of language to the world, which mainly discusses what language has play a decisive role.Gadamer explained the key role that language plays in the connection of the world. He believes that language is the sum of all the forms of human life community. Therefore, man and the world are connected through language, and man is the key to language to enter the world.Man "owns language is to own the world",and the world expresses itself to us through language.Gadamer used language to infuse living people and attribute the development of all events to language.Language has completed the qualitative generation in the ontological mechanism formed in the three aspects of history, understanding, and the world, which has gone beyond the scope of hermeneutics.Rather,it returns to the height of the ontology of philosophy, which in fact gives people an equal status and cares for their survival at all times.
