| This paper is a summary and review of the author’s watercolor paintings on urban themes. With the development of the times, the pace of urban life is getting faster and faster. In this era of high-speed information dissemination, human beings receive too much information every day,and it is easy to produce negative emotions such as confusion.According to statistics, contrary to the lively city scenery, people are more likely to feel tired and lonely in the fast-paced city life.In the process of creation,we mainly explore the contrast between the "restless" environment and the "lonely" interior of urban life, and use the third-person perspective to express the "openness and detachment" of contemporary urban life using the typological approach and rectangular composition. The third-person viewpoint is used to express the "openness and alienation" of contemporary urban life.Influenced by German artist Andreas Gursky’s artistic expressions,he uses flattening, reduction of perspective differences, and creation of repetition to depict urban life scenes and express urban life emotions through the use of water-based composite materials, while exploring the contemporary nature of watercolor subjects and the diversity of creative language. |
