Research On The Problem Of Old And New Glyphs In The Information Age

The standardization of glyph is one of the important contents of Chinese character standardization.With the advent of the information age,The need for the collation of ancient books and the realization of the goal of both sides of the Taiwan Strait,Make the standard problem of new and old glyphs more and more prominent.Based on 20902 characters in CJK character set and Kangxi Dictionary,Find out that there are 5895 different characters,accounting for 28.2% of the 20902 character set,and classify these words according to the difference of one,two and three.This paper traces the origin of the old and new glyphs,and distinguishes the old and new glyphs from the complex characters and the different characters.Based on the analysis of the survey data,the change law of the related parts from the old glyph to the new glyph is summarized,The new and old glyphs changes in five aspects: stroke shape,stroke number,stroke relationship,components and structure.According to this law of change,the analogy range and the selection of the new and old glyphs,Most old and new glyphs can be analogized,Only a few are finite analogy,and finite analogy is irregular.It doesn’t exactly follow the tradition of philology,More in line with the principle of simplicity,easy to write.This paper discusses the problems related to the old and new glyphs in the collation of ancient books and the cross-strait characters in the information age.
