Ye Zhaoyan is an important writer in contemporary Chinese literary world.His works show the artistic inheritance of the decadent tradition of Jiangnan culture with unique classical narrative mode and strong morbid aesthetic taste.This thesis focuses on the decadent tradition of Jiangnan culture and the morbid writing of Ye Zhaoyan’s novels,intercepts the decadent tradition of Jiangnan culture from the whole Jiangnan culture,and explores the internal relationship between it and the morbid writing of Ye Zhaoyan’s novels.The full text is divided into four parts.The first chapter mainly combs the origin of Jiangnan cultural tradition and the characterization of its decadent tradition,and explores the resonance base between Ye Zhaoyan and the decadent tradition in Jiangnan culture from the aspects of Ye Zhaoyan’s experience of his own disease and the spirit of Development,clarify the main background of the article.The second chapter discusses the disease writing in Ye Zhaoyan’s novels.First of all,it reveals its writing types,and then explores the background of love embodied in it,so as to analyze the writer’s modern inheritance and aesthetic appreciation of the idea of "following one’s feelings with one’s own desires" in the decadent tradition of Jiangnan cultureangles of decaying families and sick families.The third chapter focuses on Ye Zhaoyan’s writing of sick family landscape.This paper discusses the embodiment of the decadent tradition of Jiangnan culture in Ye Zhaoyan’s novels from two aspects: declining family history and morbid family relations.Medium and small design。The fourth chapter explores the writer’s inheritance of the narrative of "gifted scholars and beautiful women" and its morbid artistic sentiment.It reveals Ye Zhaoyan’s aesthetic interest and artistic rendering of prostitutes’ images and decadent atmosphere,and the morbid life of "gifted and beautiful women".The thesis holds that declining families,gifted scholars and beautiful women,and literati prostitutes are typical models reflecting the decadent tradition of Jiangnan culture,and Ye Zhaoyan has a distinct artistic expression on them.The writing of physiological diseases and psychological diseases will be layered on it,which will add the sentimental,decadent,melancholy and sad atmosphere of the aesthetic realm of the text.However,Ye Zhaoyan is not a world-hater.Even though the story is full of morbid color of monthly decadence,he never forgets to keep a passion for the friendship between people,which constitutes an aesthetic transcendence of the Jiangnan decadence tradition.
