| Chinese reading teaching is an important part of the teaching of Chinese language skills and plays an important role in the teaching of Chinese as a second language.Intermediate stage is the key period for international students to develop their Chinese comprehensive competence and to transform Chinese language knowledge into Chinese communicative competence.At present,there are still some problems in the teaching of intermediate Chinese reading.This paper will carry out research on how teachers can better mobilize students’ learning enthusiasm,how to integrate with social life better,how to effectively expand students’ vocabulary and reading capacity,and how to make the assessment more objective and scientific.Based on the reality of Chinese reading teaching at intermediate level,this study studies the application of theme-based teaching mode in Chinese reading teaching at intermediate level from three aspects: the selection of reading materials,the teaching methods of teachers and the learning methods of students.According to the research ideas of finding problems,analyzing problems and solving problems,this paper analyzes and studies the problems existing in the teaching of intermediate Chinese reading and explores the solutions.Under the guidance of constructivism theory and multiple intelligences theory,this paper clarifies the current situation and existing problems of Chinese reading teaching at intermediate stage by combing the relevant research results of Chinese as a second language reading teaching and theme-based teaching mode,combined with classroom teaching observation and interviews.On this basis,the feasibility of applying theme-based teaching mode to intermediate Chinese reading teaching is analyzed,and the teaching application mode of "T(Teach)-E(Expand)-A(Apply)" is proposed.Combined with specific teaching practice,it is tentatively applied to intermediate Chinese reading teaching process.Propose relevant teaching suggestions based on teaching feedback.It is found that theme-based reading teaching plays a significant role in helping students complete the construction of old and new knowledge,mobilizing the existing knowledge and experience,strengthening the memory and understanding of new knowledge,overcoming the fear of difficulties and stimulating the enthusiasm of reading,etc.It has a positive significance in the practice of Chinese reading teaching in the intermediate stage. |
