A Survey Of Foreign Students’ Demand For Language Practice Activities

Language practice plays a key role in the process of Chinese learning.For foreign students,the ultimate purpose of learning Chinese is to apply it in the process of practice.This paper first investigates the language practice activities of foreign students in three colleges and universities in Dalian and the needs of foreign students in language practice activities through questionnaires and interviews.The survey covered three main issues:First,how the foreign students language practice activities carried out;Second,what are the needs of foreign students for language practice;Third,whether there are differences in individual factors in the demand of foreign students for language practice activities.This article consists of five parts:Introduction:including research background,topic selection significance,research review,theoretical basis and research methods.Chapter1:A survey of the needs of foreign students for language practice activities.This chapter focuses on the investigation of students and teachers in three universities in Dalian,It includes two parts: questionnaire survey of foreign students and interview of teachers.Chapter 2:Analysis of the needs of foreign students for language practice activities.It includes three parts: the questionnaire analysis of foreign students’ demand for language practice activities,the analysis of individual factors difference of foreign students’ demand for language practice activities and the analysis of interview results of foreign students’ demand for language practice activities.Chapter 3:Discussion on the survey results of foreign students’ language practice activities.This chapter discusses the problems existing in language practice activities on the basis of the analysis of the needs of foreign students in language practice activities.Chapter4: Suggestions on developing foreign students’ language practice.In view of the actual situation of language practice activities in three colleges and universities in Dalian,this paper divides language practice activities into five categories to study,In addition,the professional situation of foreign students and scholarships were also investigated.The survey shows that the development of language practice activities in Dalian colleges and universities can meet the needs of most foreign students,However,there are still other needs in setting up activities,organization,participants,Chinese demand and purpose,And there are still significant differences in some aspects.In view of these problems,this paper combines some examples of language practice activities and interviews with teachers’ opinions,and puts forward some suggestions to improve the effect of language practice activities.
