My Thoughts And Creative Practice On Urban Theme Oil Painting

The art of painting originates from life.The contemporary urbanized lifestyle has long been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.More and more oil paintings use the elements of urban life,and urban themed works have gradually increased with the development of the times.Every era has Each era has its own style and appearance,and artists of each era have different descriptions of the society they live in.The era we live in is in a rapid development process,and the progress of the era has also changed our lives little by little.All aspects of painting also influenced the creation of painting art.The article discusses from three parts.First,through combing the historical oil painting works of urban themes,it gives a general introduction to the oil paintings of related themes.Secondly,it analyzes three representative artists,and introduces Edward Hopper from the United States,Antonio López Garcia from Spain,and Liu Xiaodong from China.From their artistic experience,background and perspective,Explore the spiritual connotation in their works and their different feelings about urban life,and analyze the painting language in their urban themed works.Finally,based on the author’s own life experience,I use my own perspective to select scenes with characteristics of the times in contemporary cities,reorganize these scene materials and apply them to the creation,and find a painting language that suits me,expressing the prosperity of modern cities and cities in my works The impact of the rapid development of the country on daily life.
