Abstract/Summary:
This paper takes contemporary painting as the research object, takes the expression of spatial concepts as the starting point, studies and analyses the theories related to painting space from three levels: spatial dimension, image elements and expression form, and Melo Ponty’s theory of perceptual phenomena, and pays attention to the traditional theory of painting space concepts. The sorting of the source and the analysis of the expression of contemporary painting space concepts try to expound the origin and significance of the expression of contemporary painting space concepts with the basic form of painting space.Through the analysis and comparison of the spatial concept expression of different painting works in various periods,it is expected to re-understand the spatial expression and visual activity in contemporary painting creation, reveal the new intentionality formed in the process of painting space construction, and its far-reaching significance to contemporary painting art creation. The first chapter of the paper briefly describes the research background and significance, and sorts out and introduces the research progress of relevant work at home and abroad. The second chapter combs and analyses the process of the transformation of the spatial concept of painting art from tradition to contemporary, including three contents.First,it expounds the theoretical source of the concept of painting space with "number" as the origin in ancient Greece.Second, sort out the different objective reappearance of spatial concepts in China and the West under the perspective law,and discuss the different treatment methods and spatial meanings of image space under the perspective rule.Third, the thinking about painting space triggered by the creation form of painting after it is enriched by scientific and technological progress,as well as the origin, construction and expression of painting space under the anti-spective law, reveal the autonomy of painting space from spatial composition, formal composition and pure vision. The third chapter discusses the new intentionality of contemporary painting space concepts-the concept of symmetry of perceptual forms, and the process of contemporary artists from passive understanding of space concepts to active cognition, based on perceptual phenomenology. The fourth chapter compares the expression of contemporary painting space concepts and multiple spatial forms, analyses the dimension breakthrough of contemporary painting for two-dimensional planes from the perspective of creation forms, and combs the manifestations of contemporary painting visual construction from the perspective of content expression.Explain the process of contemporary painting space representation towards diversification and expansion. The fifth chapter summarises the internal logic of completing the spatial transformation of contemporary painting space concepts under different forms from the perspective of space of physical form and the space of conceptual form, and the translation process of painting space for other fields-architectural design. It is the view that the concept of "space" in contemporary painting is a structural connection constructed by images or works.Under the background of the rapid development of science and technology, the pioneers of contemporary painting have broken through traditional ideas and formed the trend of exploring future painting.Summarise the pluralistic expression of contemporary painting space forms, explore the dimension breakthrough of spatial concepts, highlight the important factor of "space" as a clear methodological concept, and have important value and significance in grasping the conceptual turn and artistic change triggered by the multi-dimensional "space" presentation in contemporary painting.
