A Comparative Study Of Huang Tingjian And Wang Duo’s Cursive Script

Huang Tingjian is a master of cursive calligraphy in the Northern Song Dynasty.He changed ancient methods in his brushwork and style,pursued calligraphy’s mind and artistic conception,and opened up a new generation of new style.Wang Duo is a master of cursive script in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.He brought into full play "the method of rising ink" and "continuous grass",learning from the ancients and having new ideas.Through the comparative study of Huang and Wang,combined with the actual needs of their own cursive script creation,they make certain choices about the style of writing and the expression of techniques of Huang and Wang,and then guide their own cursive creation practice.This article takes Huang Tingjian’s and Wang Duo’s calligraphy comparison as the research object,uses historical documents and images to compare the history,time background,learning experience,calligraphy thoughts,calligraphy techniques,and discusses the causes and similarities and differences of the two people’s calligraphy.Place.The article is divided into two parts,namely the topic selection and practice plan of graduation creation and the comparative study of Huang Tingjian and Wang Duo’s cursive script.The first part is mainly the presentation of my graduation achievements.After I have in-depth understanding of Huang Tingjian and Wang Duo’s cursive script,he has used his own pen and ink to create the completed works.The second part is the main part of the article,discussing the two-person cursive script from four aspects.First of all,I discuss the life of the two men,combing through the experience of being an official and sentimental calligraphy,and exploring the reasons for pursuing the art of calligraphy;secondly,the author examines the calligraphy style of the two from three aspects: the trend of the times,the origin of the teacher and the calligraphy.From the background of the times,in view of the social phenomenon and calligraphy situation at that time,the two people seek innovation;from the source of the teacher,discuss the two people’s cursive script experience,so as to explore the cause of the two people’s calligraphy;from the calligraphic thinking,through the two people The study of thoughts,to understand the emotions pursued for learning calligraphy.Through the three aspects of research,we strive to have a deeper understanding of the development,transformation and innovation of cursive calligraphy;again,from the comparative study of calligraphy techniques,discuss the similarities and differences between the two in the composition and use of ink,and strive to have a more comprehensive understanding of cursive calligraphy.Have a deeper understanding of their cursive style;finally,discuss the two people’s ideas on the development and reform of cursive script to the author.
