Today’s painting art presents a rich and diversified appearance,which is condensed by the individual creative thinking mode,inner emotion,life perception and spiritual connotation through the self-personalized report.When we are faced with those classic paintings,we are easily attracted by the superb painting skills,and we always stay on the study of the techniques,and forget to explore the spirit and meaning behind the techniques.Painting is not only the description of the appearance of objective things,but also the exploration of the internal nature of things,the pursuit of the inner and spiritual aspects of painting,to find the appropriate painting language to express abstract things.Painting creation is closely linked with the individual,the individual will internalize their own things through externalization to express themselves in the painting.Therefore,in the process of exploring their own painting creation,strengthen the understanding of themselves,consciously analyze and reflect on themselves,and express themselves in painting,so that the work has more spiritual connotation.This paper starts from the concept of self,discusses the expression of self in painting,and analyzes the combination of self and painting expression.Through the classic works to find different ways of self-expression,and finally combined with my own painting creation to illustrate my attempt and exploration of "self" expression in painting creation.
