Attention to choosing which stimulus to enter the cognitive processing system is of great significance to the survival, health and development of individuals. The research on children’s attention in different families’ socioeconomic status has confirmed that growing up in SES environment of low families will damage children’s selective attention ability, that is,top-down attention, but the influence of family socioeconomic status on children’s value-driven attention capture is still unclear. The current research uses money and positive social information as rewards, and investigates the characteristics of value-driven attention capture of children with different socioeconomic status.First, taking money as a reward, the value-driven attention capture characteristics of SES children from high and low families were investigated by using the two-stage paradigm of value-driven attention capture training and test. The results are as follows:(1)In the training stage,SES children from high families have a better learning effect on the combination of stimulation and reward, and their response speed to high-value goals is significantly faster than that to low-value goals, while SES children from low families have no difference in response time to high-value goals and low-value goals.(2)In the test stage,SES children from high families showed value-driven attention capture to a greater extent, while SES children from low families did not show value-driven attention capture.(3)Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant negative correlation between value-driven attention capture and working memory ability, and it is found that greater value-driven attention capture is related to poor working memory ability in SES children from both high and low families. In the second study, social feedback was used as reward, and the value-driven attention capture training-test two-stage paradigm was adopted to investigate the value-driven attention capture characteristics of SES children from high and low families. The results showed that:(1)There was no significant difference in the response time of SES children from high and low families in the training stage, which indicated that SES children from high and low families did not show significant value effect.(2)In the test stage,SES children from high families drive attention capture to a greater extent, while SES children from low families do not show value-driven attention capture.(3)The results of correlation analysis show that value-driven attention capture is related to poor working memory ability in SES children from high families, but no significant negative correlation is found in SES children from low families. The current research mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)SES children from high families are more sensitive to high-value monetary rewards, and reward learning can improve the attention priority of goal-independent but high-value related stimuli, while SES children from low families are less distracted by previous stimuli related to monetary rewards.(2)SES children from high families are more sensitive to high-value social rewards, and incentive learning can improve the priority of stimulating attention which is irrelevant to goals but related to high value, while SES children from low families are less distracted by previous stimulation related to social rewards.(3)Under the condition of monetary reward, higher value-driven attention capture in SES group of high and low families is related to poor working memory ability.Under the condition of social reward,it was found that greater value-driven attention capture was related to poor working memory ability only in high family SES group.
