People’s understanding or construction of events is related to people’s actions and action plans, and actions are obvious clues to construct others’ behaviors and intentions. In the process of scene perception,we will not only extract the action or action clues in the scene but also extract the color of the stimulus and other details. The extraction of semantic information of these scenes will have a certain impact on the construction of the event model. In addition, the level of event construction can be divided into low-level construction and high-level construction.Low-level construction mainly extracts the features of stimuli, while high-level construction refers to the construction of an event model.Whether the construction of low-level information extraction has an impact on the construction of high-level event models is under debate. Therefore, this study selects the real scene for the experimental materials, sets up different action clues conditions(active vs passive),different semantic conditions(consistent vs inconsistency),stimulus consistency(consistent vs inconsistent).Based on the action cues and stimulus consistency to explore the effects of processing on event modeling by scene semantic information. In the first study,it selected 68 participants and used the semantic priming paradigm and eye movement paradigm to examine the effect of semantic information processing on event modeling based on action cues.In Experiment 1 and Experiment 2,the influence of scene action cue and semantic consistency on event model construction was discussed from the active condition and passive condition respectively. The results show that people are easy to recognize and process action cues in the active condition, but difficult to recognize and process action cues in the passive condition, and it is found that the influence of action cues in the scene on the construction of event model is moderated by semantic relations.Based on the first study, the second study selected 80 participants and used the semantic priming paradigm and eye movement paradigm to examine the effect of semantic information processing on event model construction based on the consistency of stimuli.Experiment 3 and Experiment 4 discussed the influence of low-level information extraction on high-level event model construction from the active condition and passive condition respectively. The results show that the influence of low-level information extraction on high-level event model construction is not significant in both active and passive conditions. The results of this study show that action cues can influence the construction of event model, while stimulus consistency has no significant influence on the construction of event model, which is helpful to further clarify the influencing factors of the construction of scene event model, enrich the research on the construction of scene event model, and provide empirical support for future related research.
