This paper focuses on the confusing words of Lao intermediate Chinese learners,mainly adopts the methods of questionnaire survey and natural observation,analyzes the use of confusing words of Lao Xinhua school intermediate Chinese learners,and puts forward the corresponding solutions.First of all,this paper takes the previous research on confusing words as the theoretical basis,combined with my Chinese teaching practice in Xinhua school in Laos,determines the prediction vocabulary of confusing words.Referring to HSK1-4vocabulary,this paper takes 45 intermediate Chinese learners from Xinhua school in Laos as samples to test.According to the frequency and distribution of word misuse,61 groups of easily confused words of Lao intermediate students are determined.From the perspective of learners’ acquisition,the 61 groups of easily confused words are divided into five categories: similar morphemes,some morphemes,Lao language translation,media language translation and word meaning.It is found that some easily confused words with similar morphemes and meaning are the difficulties to be overcome in intermediate Chinese teaching.Secondly,this paper analyzes the reasons for Lao learners’ confusion.Based on the analysis of the questionnaire survey,this paper mainly divides the confusion reasons of Lao Chinese learners into three aspects: the first is the characteristics of Chinese and Lao vocabulary;the second is the influence of teachers’ teaching factors;the third is the influence of learners’ own factors.Based on the analysis of the degree of confusion and the main causes of confusion,combined with the characteristics of Lao Chinese learners,this paper analyzes the easily confused words one by one from the perspective of word meaning discrimination,and finds out the differences between the meanings and usages of the easily confused words.Finally,this paper gives practical teaching suggestions and learning suggestions from teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.In teaching,teachers should have a clear idea;pay attention to the discrimination of some words with the same morpheme;pay attention to the cultivation of students’ ability to distinguish the form of words;pay attention to the diversification of teaching methods;learners should pay attention to the learning of Chinese characters;refer to new words means and so on.
