Research On The Methods Of Literary Spatial Criticism

Ever since ‘Spatial Turn’ emerged in the 1970 s,the application of spatial theory has become more and more extensive in various disciplines,and even in the field of literary criticism,it has generated spatial criticism,a innovative criticism paradigm.However,although the existing research on literary spatial criticism has made great progress,the inapplicability of spatial theory still appears from time to time in the practice of criticism.Under this academic background,this paper tries to take literary spatial criticism method as the main research idea and then attempts to integrate the spatial theory suitable for literary criticism from the micro individual perception and macro social analysis,and integrate the potential cultural factors into these two analysis levels.Under double level points of spatial theory and literary criticism,this paper reflects on the theoretical construction of literary spatial criticism.The main body of this paper is formed by five parts.In addition to Introduction and the comprehensive thinking of Epilogue,the other three chapters have theoretical carding and supplementary discussion on the methods of literary spatial criticism theory.First of all,Introduction part reflects on the development and shortage of the current literary spatial criticism from the research status of spatial theory and literary spatial criticism.On the basis of the current situation,Chapter One focuses on the reflection of the process,significance and limitations of theoretical development from spatial theory to spatial criticism,and puts forward some corresponding improvement strategies by above reflections.Based on the above strategies,Chapter Two surrounds personal perception and focuses on the reflection and supplement of micro methods of literary spatial criticism by related theoretical views of Environmental Psychology,The Concept of Place and Filed,The Aesthetics of Atmosphere and The Eye of Power.Chapter Three focuses on the reflection and supplement of macro methods of literary spatial criticism by incorporating social analysis and from views of Space of Flows,Heterotopia,Space Semiotics,Cultural Memory and other theories.Finally,Epilogue focuses on the reflection and reply of advantages and disadvantages of this study and gives a tentative outlook on the future prospects of literary spatial criticism.In a word,based on the synchronous reflection of the research status and theoretical framework,this paper attempts to integrate the spatial theory resources of literary criticism in the way of combining the macro and micro,the dominant and recessive,and makes theoretical supplements that are easier to understand and use to the methods of literary spatial criticism.
