Elaboration Of The Work Of The Martial Arts Feature Film "Yulan’s Journey"

Since the "One Belt and One Road" initiative was put forward,China’s foreign economic and cultural exchanges have developed rapidly.With the development of the country’s foreign economic and cultural exchanges,martial arts are gradually reaching the whole world.More and more foreigners begin to get in touch with,learn and love martial arts.My graduation project "Yulan’s journey" is a martial art feature film,Taking Fabienne,a Belgian,as the shooting object,this film records the story of her coming to China to learn Taijiquan in 2019.Fabienne,whose Chinese name is Yulan,has been studying Taijiquan for 15 years.After work,she will be engaged in Taijiquan teaching and communication in Belgium.In the past four years,she has come to China many times to learn Taijiquan and Qigong from Mr.Xie,an associate professor of martial arts at Shanghai University of Sport.This graduation project selects the above two characters as the main characters,takes Yulan’s main experience in China in 2019 as the shooting theme,truly records her story of learning Taijiquan and her understanding of Taijiquan in the way of camera story,introduces the development of Taijiquan in Belgium and Western Europe,and the problems in the communication,to discover the cross-cultural communication value of Taijiquan.Through the interview with Mr.Xie,this film discusses the causes of these problems and the ways to solve them,to promote the cross-cultural communication of Taijiquan.In this paper,the creation process of the feature film is divided into two parts.The first part is the theoretical part of the creation of the feature film,which introduces the creation background,purpose and significance,literature review and research methods.The second part is the practice part of the creation of the feature film,which analyzes and summarizes the whole shooting process.The shooting shots of the feature film are divided into many kinds.The interview part of the characters in the film is mainly closeup.The scenes of Yulan practicing Taijiquan with Mr.Xie and watching the game are mainly medium and long-range shots.During the shooting process,the total follow-up time is about 640 minutes,and the final film length after postproduction is 22 minutes and 31 seconds.At the end,this paper puts forward the difficulties and shortcomings in the process of shooting,as well as the harvest after shooting creation.
