The research centers on Bachelor of Music Education degrees in China and the United Kingdom.Similarities and differences between the two degrees are investigated through a comparative analysis on curriculum design,development patterns,and program features of conservatories of music under two corresponding and representative universities: Capital Normal University in China and The University of Sheffield in the UK.The aim is to learn from the curriculum of undergraduate music education in China,so as to improve the comprehensive quality of Music Talents in China.The essay is composed of the following six parts.The first part introduces the topic.The second part catalogs curriculum objectives with the purpose of professional training.The third part details the comparative analysis of program structure,credits,and hours,and generates patterns and characteristics of each program.The fourth part compares program contents and outlooks trends of development in the future.The fifth part comparatively analyzes program evaluations.The sixth part concludes and expounds on reflection and enlightenment.
