Oral English teaching has experienced rapid development from scratch,but also presents some shortcomings that need to be improved,such as the single mode of oral English teaching,the mechanization of training process,and the single skills of oral English teaching.At present,a common teaching drawback that needs to be improved is that teachers rely too much on teaching materials and PPT.However,this traditional teaching method often leads to excessive written oral English of overseas students and it is difficult to meet their communication and emotional needs.As a brand-new teaching method,multi-mode teaching mode integrates multiple senses and has rich teaching functions.By strengthening students’ listening,speaking,reading and writing,it can effectively improve students’ oral level.Therefore,the study of multimodal teaching mode has important practical significance and application value in intermediate spoken Chinese teaching.In view of the traditional teaching methods of oral Chinese are relatively single,teachers’ teaching efficiency is low and students’ acceptance level is poor,this paper proposes to apply the multi-mode teaching mode in intermediate Chinese oral teaching,so as to effectively improve students’ oral Chinese level.As a new teaching method,multi-modal teaching mode can run through the whole teaching of oral English,including visual mode,auditory mode,language mode and paralanguage mode,etc.This teaching mode combines multimedia teaching function and morphological analysis technology to realize real-time behavior monitoring and analysis of students.Teachers can make corresponding decisions dynamically according to the analysis results so as to complete the teaching tasks and achieve the teaching objectives.By comparing the survey data,it can be seen that the multi-mode teaching mode can significantly reduce the ineffective teaching behaviors in class and effectively improve the efficiency of students’ learning of spoken Chinese,which has a good application value.The research content of this paper starts from the status quo of oral classroom teaching.Firstly,the multi-modal discourse analysis software Elan 5.9 is used to make a statistical analysis of the usage of the recorded classroom teaching videos.Then,based on the actual classroom learning needs of students,the teaching methods combining qualitative and quantitative methods are comprehensively applied.Visual mode and auditory mode are suitable for a certain teaching link to stimulate students’ sensory function and arouse students’ learning interest.Linguistic modes and paralinguistic modes are applicable to the whole teaching process and play the roles of information input,encouragement,warning and promotion of teaching.The practice has proved that the multi-mode teaching mode can not only complete the teaching objectives and tasks,but also enable foreign students to achieve the purpose of effective oral output,so as to enhance the diversity of oral learning for foreign students,and promote the development of oral Chinese teaching.
