A Study On The Discourse Stance Of Antonymous Compound Adverbs

In recent years,adverbs have been the key research object of scholars,and the antonymous compound adverbs among them have attracted the attention of many scholars because of their special form and meaning.The constructive research results given by scholars have positive reference value,but there is not much research on the stance-taking of antonymous compound adverbs,and there are still some issues worthy of our consideration.Therefore,we will focus on the characteristic adverbs of antonymous compound adverbs,based on the theory of stance-taking,elaborate on the specific performance of antonymous compound adverbs when expressing their stance in the discourse style,and try to reasonably express motivation of their stance-taking.The introduction part introduces the subject of this article,and according to the statistical analysis of the corpus,it is clear that the antonymous compound adverbs are mainly used in the conversational and interactive Weibo and literary corpus.The script of the TV series ‘I Love My Home’ is selected as the main research source of the corpus,determines the theory and method of studying the discourse stance of antonymous compound adverbs.Chapter One briefly reviews the existing research on antonymous compound adverbs and stance-taking,so as to understand the research status of the two.Chapter Two starts with a comprehensive investigation of the usage environment of antonymous compound adverbs from four perspectives: syntactic environment,sequence environment,the relationship between involved participants,and the connotation of contextual semantic information.Chapter Three uses function,semantics,syntax,and phonetics to define the stance marker attribute of antonymous compound adverbs;use the stance triangle principle to analyze the stance construction of antonymous compound adverbs.Chapter Four through the statistical analysis of the corpus of ‘I Love My Home’,it is found that the antonymous compound adverbs have the function of expressing epistemic stance,which are specifically expressed in several levels such as reminding,rebuttal,explanation,and suggestion,mainly reminding;and using antonymous compound adverbs to express the speaker’s stance can achieve three purposes.Chapter Five thinks that the antonymous compound adverbs can express the epistemic stance is the result of subjectivization and mutual subjectivization,the semantic relationship the compound sentence,and pragmatic principles.The former two are the basis for antonymous compound adverbs to express epistemic stance,while the latter provides conditions for the universality of antonymous compound adverbs to express stance.The conclusion part summarizes the work we have done.
