On The Dimension And Connotation Of "Beatuty" In Confucian Political Philosophy

Confucian political philosophy is a philosophy of "moral politics",which can be understood not only from a moral point of view,but also from a "beauty" point of view.Whether it is the beauty of art displayed by ritual music or the beauty of the order of the political system it contains,Confucianism is based on the expansion and development of the "benevolence" of the human inner soul.From the individual to the society,and from the person to the world,a benevolent and beautiful world of "the world belongs to the benevolence" is formed.This article examines Confucian political philosophy from the perspective of "beauty" and expounds Confucian political philosophy.The purpose is to discover some of the viewpoints contained in Confucian political philosophy from the perspective of "beauty",and to help the study of Confucian political philosophy.This article interprets Confucian political philosophy from four perspectives: the aesthetic orientation of Confucian political philosophy,the external beauty of "depending on ritual",the internal beauty of "depending on benevolence",and the beauty of harmony of ritual and music "made in pleasure".First of all,Confucian political philosophy has an aesthetic orientation.The understanding of "beauty" includes not only the beauty of the external form,but also the beauty of the inner soul for people.On the basis of human nature,it is the beauty of human nature,and the power of the monarch is transformed into a kind of political charm.Secondly,in terms of the concept of "ritual" as a system,it attaches importance to the external form of "ritual".While taking benevolence as the best system,the combination of benevolence and etiquette forms a political system that educates the people.Rites are mandatory,but the Confucian philosophy in the pre-Qin Dynasty started from helping benevolence into rituals,and from rituals to see the inner nature of people and discover the beauty of human nature.Not only from the solemnity,solemnity,grandeur and awe-inspiring of rituals,but also to make rituals have a pleasing aesthetic effect in the form of elegant music.So that governance penetrates into people’s hearts and makes people’s obedience from the heart,which is a kind of heartfelt obedience.Carrying forward the active self-restraint of rituals for people,resulting in order,and the system therefore expresses the beauty of order.Finally,the monarch started with music as a way of triggering human inner emotions,reconciling "rituals" and "benevolence",and directing people beyond the spiritual realm of materiality.Reconciliation between people and others,people and society,people and heaven and earth.Achieve the unity of nature and man,and the world belongs to all.This article aims to cut into Confucian political philosophy from the perspective of "beauty".It demonstrates that the "ritual","benevolence" and "happiness" contained in Confucian political philosophy have the characteristics of "beauty".The beauty of the external form of "rituals" constitutes the beauty of the political system,and together with the beauty of the inner soul,it plays the role of educating people.And in the process of becoming a human being,it transforms from the aesthetics of the senses to the beauty of the inner soul.Finally,the transition from the beauty of the individual’s own manners,behavior and inner virtues to the beauty of harmony between the individual and others,individual and society,individual and heaven and earth,and human society and heaven and earth.
