The directional complement "Qi Lai" is frequently used in modern Chinese. When it is combined with a verb, its grammatical meaning and rules are very complex, which is a difficulty for second language learners. For Thai students, although there are directional verbs in both Chinese and Thai, there are some differences in grammatical meaning and sentence structure between the two languages, which leads to errors in Thai students’ acquisition of "V Qi Lai" structure. However, previous studies on "Qi Lai" mostly focus on ontology. This paper selects Thai students’ corpus on "V Qi Lai" structure from three interlanguage corpora and analyzes the errors of "V Qi Lai" structure. This paper investigates the errors in the acquisition of "V Qi Lai" structure by Thai junior, middle and advanced students, sums up the types of errors, analyzes the situation and characteristics of errors in different semantics and levels, and explores the rules of errors. This paper explores the causes of errors from two aspects of Chinese ontology and mother tongue influence, and puts forward some targeted teaching suggestions. |
