A Study On The Application Of Survey Methods In The Theses Of MTCSOL

At present,more and more theses of MTCSOL obtain the needed relevant information for thesis writing through survey,but the attention and related research on the application of survey methods are still very few.This thesis analyses the thesis of MTCSOL in Chongqing’s Universities in recent years.Based on the types and characteristics of the selected topics and the application of the survey methods,this paper focuses on the three most widely used survey methods by students,such as questionnaire,observation and interview,finds out the problems existing in the application of these methods from the perspective of text analysis and practical application,in order to avoid unnecessary mistakes in survey and data collection.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter points out the reason and significance of the topic,collates the existing research results and defines the important concepts,and finally points out the research objects and methods of this thesis.The second chapter is the main part of the article.At the same time,this chapter focuses on the text analysis and practical application of 175 theses in the application of data collection methods of detailed discussion,summed up the text of the application of questionnaire don’t have standardized format,attitude options are not detailed,lacking of "other" options and lacking of pre-survey;interview has the lack of outline of the interview,interview object ambiguity and interview results record is not clear and so on;observation has the observation object fuzzy or broad scope,observation results record is unreasonable and so on.In the practical application of data collection methods,there are some practical problems,such as the lack of systematic theoretical study,the difficulty of sample size,the lack of investigation experience and the lack of guidance.The third chapter first summarizes the contents of the data collection method based on investigation,and provides some reference suggestions for the writers.Then,according to the problems found,the author puts forward three suggestions,strengthen the study of relevant theoretical knowledge,strengthen practical ability and pertinence guidance,and improve his own scientific research consciousness and attention.
