With the advent of experience era,experience design is widely used in various professional fields.Dunhuang graphic elements are an indispensable part of Dunhuang Grottoes art.As a small and medium-sized souvenir full of commemorative significance,it is an inevitable product after a period of travel experience and an inevitable demand to realize tourists’ memory,sharing and gift.People’s expectations and traceability of regional,cultural,innovative and portable souvenirs are getting higher and higher.Through the analysis of the application status of Dunhuang graphic elements,it is found that the existing tourist souvenirs in the market have the problems of poor tourist experience and only selling the normal tourist souvenir carrier.In view of this problem,the experience design is involved in the redesign research.Taking the redesign of Dunhuang graphic elements in tourist souvenirs as the design theme,this paper briefly introduces the concepts of experience design,Dunhuang graphic elements and tourist souvenirs,analyzes the case design ideas of tourist souvenirs,as well as the design status and application fields of Dunhuang graphic elements in tourist souvenirs,It is found that there is a correlation between experience design and tourist souvenirs.It is feasible for experience design to intervene in the redesign of Dunhuang graphic elements in tourist souvenirs.According to the current situation of Dunhuang tourist souvenirs,this paper studies the redesign strategy of Dunhuang graphic elements in tourist souvenirs.Tourists’ expectations,event process and experience stages of impact on Dunhuang tourist souvenirs correspond one by one.Finally,the design strategy model is integrated.Taking the design strategy model as the guidance of design practice,this paper first combs,extracts,reconstructs and redesigns the three series of Dunhuang graphic elements: caisson,supporter and Feitian.Secondly,it adds local extraction and amplification,element reorganization to the design composition,and combines the split composition with the popular split screen technique in the current design trend,The colors are bright and light colors with high saturation favored by young consumers.Using experience design to redesign Dunhuang graphic elements in tourist souvenirs,it injects new design methods and paths,and provides new design strategies and ideas of new application carriers.It constructs the cultural experience,facial experience,emotional experience and interactive experience mode within the theme experience,so that tourist souvenirs can better carry the experience of tourists.At the same time,as a cultural symbol of Dunhuang in Gansu Province,it conveys its historical value and cultural value.It constantly explores,practices and reflects on the redesign of Dunhuang tourist souvenirs,and constantly optimizes the tourists’ sense of experience of tourist souvenirs,Finally,it can promote the culture of Dunhuang graphic elements and enhance the new vitality of Dunhuang graphic elements in tourism souvenirs.
