Teachers’ interactive teaching decision-making has a unique significance in the whole teaching decision-making process,which plays a key role in improving the overall teaching decision-making level.This article attempts to analyze the three aspects of the teacher’s interactive teaching decision-making.That is,teaching skills,teaching methods and teaching strategies based on the analysis of the degree of application of novice teachers’ interactive teaching decision-making.By utilizing both qualitative and quantitative studies,this research conducts an investigation among fifty-two novice English teachers in Guangxi general high schools,aiming to probe into the current situation of teachers’ interactive decision-making in teaching.It also attempts to figure out the the characteristics of interactive teaching decisions made by novice English teachers in high school.What is more,the study also intends to look into the reasons that affect novice English teachers to make interactive teaching decisions in the classroom.The specific research questions are as follows:(1)What is the current situation of the use of interactive teaching decision-making in the teaching of high school novice English teachers?(2)What are the characteristics of interactive teaching decisions made by novice English teachers in high school?(3)What are the main reasons that affect the interactive decision-making of novice English teachers?The main findings of the study are as follows:(1)There is a relatively high level of the application of interactive teaching decision-making in the teaching of high school novice English teachers,but they have a large gap in making interactive teaching decision,which is related to the different personality characteristics and teaching styles of different teachers.(2)The interactive decisions made by novice English teachers in the teaching process mainly include the following two characteristics,namely regularity,and immediacy.(3)Novice English teachers believe that the main reasons affecting their interactive decision-making in teaching rang from students’ response,practical wisdom,teachers’ knowledge,teaching environment,and teachers’ beliefs.Basing on the findings of this study,the author comes up with some suggestions of this research to novice senior high school English teachers’ teaching,and some limitations of this research are also presented.
