The concept of “parasite” was put forward by the French philosopher Michel Serres in 1980.The "parasite" is the mediator and interferer between the basic relations of things, which determines the composition of the general order between things and has the dual possibility of communication and obstruction. In Serres’ s philosophy system, the concept of "parasite" first benefited from Serres’ s interdisciplinary practice.Secondly, the theory of "parasite" constitutes the theoretical premise of knowledge convergence in different fields because of its decisive position in the production of basic order. Therefore, the theory of "parasite" can also be a theoretical discourse to explore how to integrate knowledge in different fields. This thesis focuses on Serres’ s theory of "parasite" and discusses its ideological implication, philosophical value and literary interpretation. The first chapter gives a brief introduction to Serres and his academic methods, and analyzes Serres’ s life and the ideological source of his cross-border methods. The second chapter focuses on the key text of Serres’ s theory of the parasite. This work expounds the special text form and the relationship between the thought expression of the text of the "parasite",analyzes the basic characteristics of the intermediary relationship between the "parasite" and the influence of the order production, and puts forward the concept of "parasite" under the background of Serres’ s philosophy. The third chapter analyzes the three important dimensions of Serres’ s theory.First of all,as the "figures of thought",the "parasite" is different from the general way of thinking in traditional philosophy, which is concluded by comprehensive induction. On the contrary,it deduces the universality from the individual by means of computational thinking.Secondly, the "parasite" rethinks the relationship between the subject and the object, and refers to a heterogeneous transmission mode called "passing game",which reflects Serres’ s efforts to construct the whole theory of human knowledge. Finally,it analyzes how Serres reinterprets Rousseau’s social contract theory with the theory of the "parasite",so as to reveal the principle of universal order production between things. In the fourth chapter, based on the discussion of Serres’ s theory of "the parasite",the author analyzes the cross-border poetic function of "the parasite".First of all,the theory of "parasite" can form a dialogue relationship with Deleuze’s generative philosophy,Latour’s actor network theory, and contemporary post humanistic turn.It has the utility of poetic practice across contexts in ecological philosophy, social and cultural criticism, and literary acceptance.Secondly, the concept of "parasite" and the discourse of "amoeba is king" in the interdisciplinary study of comparative literature have the same ideological characteristics. Finally, this paper uses the theory of "the parasite" as a theoretical tool to explain Fritz Leiber’s novel the ferryman in black. The conclusion holds that the theory of "parasite" transcends the metaphysics and the opposition between subject and object in traditional western philosophy, and explores the possibility of communicating knowledge in different fields in the form of heterogeneous convergence. As interdisciplinary integration and interdisciplinary infiltration become more and more important today, the theory of "parasite" is of great significance to the cross-border practice of literary research. |
