Vico’s "Poetic Wisdom" And Chinese Cultural Poetics

In the study of Chinese cultural poetics,Vico’s New Science is a theoretical resource that has been used for reference,and one of its important contents is the thought of poetic wisdom.In the works on poetic wisdom,some commentators have some misunderstandings when interpreting poetic wisdom,and use poetic wisdom to interpret traditional Chinese thinking,thus concealing the importance of traditional Chinese thinking.Therefore,this article tries to interpret the poetic wisdom in the historical and cultural context from the standpoint of cultural poetics and draw on Vico’s ideas,return to the textual context of Vico’s New Science,sort out and summarize Vico’s poetic wisdom,It is clear that what it refers to is a primitive thinking,while traditional Chinese thinking was already developed in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period.If we directly interpret traditional Chinese thinking as a kind of poetic wisdom,then we may fall into the ideological trap of Western tradition.Therefore,this article focuses on the meaning and use of "poetic wisdom" in Vico’s thought,explaining the essential difference between poetic wisdom and traditional Chinese thinking,and pointing out the possibility and significance of drawing on Vico’s thought.The introduction is a brief summary of Vico’s life and academic achievements.It summarizes the previous research results from both domestic and foreign aspects,and proposes the significance of further research on poetic wisdom;Chapter One briefly describes the structure of New Science and Vico Interpretation of the epistemology of "truth is creation" after his belief;The Second Chapter returns to New Science itself from the perspective of cultural poetics,distinguishes the original meaning of poetic wisdom in Vico’s "historical philosophy" system,and draws the original Human thinking is poetic wisdom.Secondly,in the primitive cultural context,the origin of poetic wisdom,operating subject,existence and operation mode,rational wisdom and aesthetic art are sorted out,so as to be able to look at poetry more comprehensively wisdom,and have a clear grasp of it;Chapter Three combs the narratives of Chinese culture in New Science,understands how Vico and Western intellectuals interpret Chinese traditional culture,and at the same time sorts out what kind of Chinese history and culture are in It is similar to the early human culture described by Vico.Contrasting and analyzing China’s early historical facts can confirm the universal meaning of poetic wisdom to a certain extent,but at the same time point out the differences between traditional Chinese thinking and the poetic wisdom described by Vico;Chapter Four is based on cultural poetics The theoretical position explains the enlightening significance of Vico’s theoretical resources to the study of contemporary Chinese literature,especially the study of cultural poetics: 1.Interpreting the text in a textual way of thinking.2.Grasp the creation of the nation and construct one’s own theoretical discourse to interpret the Chinese own culture.3.Avoid the ideological trap of text interpretation.
