Research On The Concept And Creation Method Of Home-video Style Documentary

The home-video style documentary,despite it hasn’t shown much in the history of the documentary,has made its style becomes one of the most important styles in the creation of documentary.The reason is that it explores and present the topics like the extreme personalization,self-cognition,family relation,emotion healing and emotion repairing.For home-video style documentary,photographers point the camera to their family,recording their daily life.As so far,the quantity of this kind of documentary is not much.However,the creation idea of pursuing realism extremely in making home-video documentary and the interventional of staying closer to the model,making it has distinct difference from other documentary.My final project Little World Big Love is set in the background of my family,using the two children as the clue and presenting the family daily life as the pattern of manifestation.This article uses Little World Big Love as an example,as well as other representative home-video style documentaries,aiming to do the analysis on the idea and creative technique of this kind of documentary.This thesis is divided into three main parts.The first one is the overview,discussing the concept definition and development history of home-video style documentary,and introduce the background of Little World Big Love.The second part aims to discuss the creative concept of making home-video style documentary.The third part aims to discuss the creative strategy of home-video style documentary.
