Research On The Cultural Value Of Chinese Traditional Festivals

Chinese traditional festivals are the unity of national culture,national spirit and national emotion,reflecting the value orientation and ideal pursuit of Chinese people.It is a reliable attachment to inherit and carry forward the fine traditional culture and national spirit.This paper takes the Chinese traditional festivals as the research object,starting from the characteristics of festivals,to analyze the cultural value of Chinese traditional festivals.The research content mainly includes the representative connotation of the Chinese traditional festivals,the characteristics and functions of Chinese traditional festivals,the cultural value of Chinese traditional festivals and its contemporary promotion.Through exploring the representative connotations of Chinese traditional festivals,such as the Spring Festival,Tomb Sweeping and Dragon Boat Festival with the theme of family reunion,pursuit of one’s last life,returning to the roots of fallen leaves,filial piety and respect for the elderly.It analyzes its important characteristics of cultural identity,ethics,historical inheritance and national unity,as well as its functions of heart cohesion,moral education,value guidance and cultural promotion,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the presentation of the cultural value of Chinese traditional festivals,and actively explore the promotion path of Chinese traditional festivals and realize its cultural value,so that it can serve the new era and glow the charm of the era.Globalization makes traditional Chinese culture go abroad,and bring western culture into China.People’s concept of thinking,production and life have also changed along with globalization.The influx of foreign festivals such as “April Fool’s Day”,“Halloween Day”and “Christmas Day” which makes the profound feelings of Chinese traditional festivals gradually fade,and the effectiveness of cultural values is becoming increasingly weak.Chinese traditional festivals are the strong carrier of fine traditional culture and have profound cultural value because of their unique symbol form.Therefore,based on the analysis of the characteristics and functions of Chinese traditional festivals,this paper deeply analyzes the values of Chinese traditional festivals,such as the value of deepening national identity and strengthening cultural confidence,the value of cultivating filial piety,loyalty and patriotism,and the value of constructing a harmonious culture with the unity of man and nature and the constraints of etiquette and custom.At the same time,it provides a feasible path for inheriting and carrying forward Chinese traditional festivals,in order to further show the cultural value of Chinese traditional festivals.First,through creating a good Chinese traditional festival atmosphere by developing the traditional festival culture and tourism industry,constructing the inheritance base of Chinese traditional festivals,and creatively transforming and developing the forms of festivals and customs,so as to make best use of the cultural value of Chinese traditional festivals in a good festival atmosphere.Second,through actively promoting the integration of Chinese traditional festivals into organizational culture construction like family culture,campus culture,unit culture and make full use of the combined force of organizational culture.Third,making full use of the important role of non-media and Internet technology on spreading Chinese traditional festivals to promote the international communication of Chinese traditional festivals.In the new era,researching the cultural value of Chinese traditional festivals is not only a beneficial exploration for strengthening cultural confidence and building a country with powerful culture,but also an important starting point for strengthening national cultural identity,and the crucial cultural guarantee for realizing the great rejuvenation of the nation.
