An Analysis Of The Musical Style And Performance Techniques Of Suona "Northwest Ballad"

Northwest Ballad is a suona work with the style of Northwest China,which is created by Mr.Zhou Dongchao using the narrative style to refine and create the folk tunes and opera music elements in the Northwest.The music is composed of multi-segment structure,including the beautiful and lyrical adagio tune,the moderado tune that has a strong flavor of life,the cheerful and melodious allegro tune,the sonorous and powerful largo tune and the cadenza tune that shows the sense of long-lasting.The author will analyze this work from three aspects based on my own performance experience and theoretical basis.The first aspect is to understand the creative style of the work by sorting out the creative background of the work and analyzing the structure of the work.The second aspect is to reveal the performance style of the work by exploring the application of playing techniques in the work.In the third aspect,through the exploration of the narrative internal causes and vocal melody characteristics of the work,we try to respect the original creative ideas and grasp the emotional connotation and musical style of the work during the second creation process.
