‘Trumpet Concerto In E Flat’ was written by Hummel for Anton Weidinger,chief trumpet of the Vienna court orchestra at the end of 1803.Meanwhile,this work is called as one of the ‘three world-class trumpet concertos’ and it brings the trumpet performing art to a new height.Until today,this work is still served as the music required in world-level competitions and the compulsory music required in examinations of various famous orchestras.This thesis mainly analyzes and studies this work in three chapters: first,it introduces the work’s background of characters and its creation background.Second,it analyzes the structure of the work combined with the author’s analysis of music style and emotion while performing the work.In the end,it analyzes the work’s performing skills and studies the ornamentation that frequently appear in the work and the application of TK and TKT or TTK as well as the use of breath.Therefore,detailed analysis of this work can help players to master the connotation of the work so as to better interpret the work during performing.
