As a tone language,Chinese tone and intonation are mainly expressed by pitch form,so they are easy to conflict in the basic implementation mode.Generally speaking, although intonation has an impact on the tone of a word,it can still maintain its distinctiveness. In this case, how to express intonation is very important. This paper takes yes-no questions as the research object, and explores the intonation forms of interrogative sentences without modal particles and the interrogative sentences with modal particle "ma".In this paper,we use the method of quantitative analysis to investigate the pitch performance of the intonation of eight speakers’ interrogative sentences without modal particles and the interrogative sentences with modal particle "ma" under the condition that the interrogative focus is in the middle of the sentence and the interrogative focus is at the end of the sentence. After that,we analyze the pitch performance of the two types of yes-no interrogative sentences from four aspects:the structure of the up and down lines of the sentence register, the overall pitch performance of the intonation, the adjustment mode of the sentence register and the intonation deformation of different speakers. In addition,we analyze the performance of the rising ending after the last word of the interrogative sentences without modal particles and the pitch performance of the modal particle "ma" in the interrogative sentences with modal particle "ma" by analyzing the pitch curve.By analyzing the pitch performance of intonation questions and "Ma" questions,we find that there are two forms of interrogative intonation in yes no questions, one is the up-down adjustment of register, the other is the up-down adjustment of register plus intonation ending. As the compensation form of intonation, the rising ending and the rising segment of "Ma" can make the intonation fully expressed,so as to strengthen the interrogative mood.Through the analysis of the intonation compensation form,we also find that in the actual pronunciation process, the speaker is more inclined to choose the intonation form with intonation ending, and the probability of choosing the ascending segment of "Ma" is the highest.
