| With the rapid development of the Internet era,everyone’s survival is facing a severe test.The current social environment is unstable,all walks of life are facing changes,the lifelong employment system in the organization has been broken,everyone is facing the threat of unemployment,at the same time,the arrival of boundless career and peer infidelity make the competition more intense,which requires us to have stronger adaptability.In the case of unstable personal career,unstable organizational environment and uncertain social environment,it is urgent to seek ways to cope with changes.Career adaptability is the psychological resources and transformation ability for individuals to cope with changes and solve difficulties in the process of career development.it is the core of individual career development and can help individuals to deal with various problems in their career.As a variable with important contribution to career,the influence of social capital on career adaptability is worthy of our study.Career construction theory holds that everyone’s career will be affected by the past,present and future,which is a dynamic process.Career adaptability will be affected by environmental factors,but only environmental factors can not directly shape career adaptability,and it can only be realized by interaction between people and the environment.Therefore,this study selected person-organization fit in the work environment and family cohesion in the family environment as transit factor to study the affect in the impact of social capital on career adaptability.This study selects a total of 355 new employees from Guangdong,Shanghai,Shanxi and other places who have been employed for less than three years.Starting from the Career construction theory,to explore whether social capital has an impact on career adaptability,as well as the mechanism of person-organization fit and family cohesion.It is proved that:(1)The higher the social capital,the greater the career adaptability;(2)Social capital plays a mediator’s role in career adaptability and personorganization fit;(3)Social capital influences career adaptability through family cohesion;(4)Both individual organization fit and family cohesion play a part in the affect of social capital on career adaptabilityThis study explores the career adaptability of new employees and abundant the research on career adaptability.Other,it provides some suggestions on how to improve the career adaptability of new employees. |
