Research On The Words Of Ancient Ornaments

The study of names and objects is an important part of lexicology,among which the study of naming motivation has attracted much attention.The research object of this paper is the ancient jewelry words.Based on the research results of previous scholars on the naming motivation of ancient jewelry words,this paper analyzes the naming motivation of ancient jewelry words under the guidance of the relative arguability of naming and the related theories of modern linguistics,reveals the naming motivation rules,and further discusses the characteristics of ancient jewelry words in the naming process Cognitive rules and characteristics.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the purpose of this study and the basis of topic selection,research methods and research tasks,significance,and summarizes the research on the motivation of words and the research situation of jewelry words.The second part is the general picture of ancient jewelry words.First of all,it defines the meaning and criteria of the name and object,the definition and criteria of the word and the fixed phrase,and determines the specific research object.Secondly,according to the different parts of the human body where the ornaments are located,the paper classifies and describes them,and preliminarily shows the overall appearance of ancient ornaments.The third part is the exploration of the naming motivation of ancient ornaments.There are 280 entries of ancient jewelry words,including 33 monosyllabic jewelry words and 247 polysyllabic jewelry words.As far as monosyllabic ornament words are concerned,this chapter explores the naming motivation of monosyllabic ornament words according to the principle of homologous words’ sound close to meaning,using the method of associative homologous words and sememe analysis,and sums up six kinds of naming motivation,which are the motivations of character,function,position,order and related to human body parts.In terms of polysyllabic ornaments,this chapter analyzes the meaning of morphemes and discusses the combination relationship between morphemes,so as to reveal the naming motivation of polysyllabic ornaments.The fourth part is the cognitive analysis of the naming rules of ancient ornaments.This chapter first analyzes the basic level category and the relationship between category members of the ancient jewelry nominalization through the categorization theory,and explores the metaphor and metonymy phenomenon in the naming process of ancient jewelry nominalization.Secondly,it uses the frame semantic theory to restore the naming scene of ancient jewelry nominalization by analyzing the factors that affect the cognitive scene and construct the cognitive scene Finally,from the perspective of focus / background theory,this paper analyzes the prominent elements in the framework,and explores the cognitive rules of naming ancient jewelry words.The fifth part is the conclusion.This paper briefly summarizes the research content and achievements of the paper,and points out the shortcomings of the paper.
